For those of you who have been asking me to come to the midwest, I am very excited to be announcing I will be teaching a 4+ day retreat in Brownsville, Wisconsin in November.
This event is being sponsored and hosted by the CZT teaching duo, Joanne Gruchalski and Becky Allen Leslie of ‘Inspired Tangles.”

Zentangle Retreat taught by Sharla R. Hicks, CZT and author of Tangle-Inspired Botanicals.
Anyone who understands the basics of Zentangle is welcome.
Prairie Star Lodge, Brownsville Wisconsin, is an outstanding facility. Take nature walks on
22-acres of woods, rolling pastures, and enjoy the a hill top view from the wrap-around porch and deck, containing real log seating, picnic tables, and rockers. I attended a workshop there last year and there was lots of room to spread out with my over abundance of supplies I brought along.
When: Friday November 10 to 15, 2017, closest airports are Milwaukee and Madison Wisconsin.

Each student will have a one-on-one with Sharla to set goals to pursue during the retreat.
Then, working in a synergistic group environment with Sharla and your fellow students, methodically move through learning how to convert tangle patterns into botanicals, create dimensional undulating petals, leaves, textures and more while exploring variation through exaggeration, expressive line, teeny tiny betweens, enhancers and embellishments. Learn how to create color backgrounds that will evolve and morph into landscapes and bouquets. (See below.)
