My theme for August & September 2014 is Black, White, Gold and Glitz.
It has been my experience that some tangles work better than others. My preference is to select tangles that rely on line as their base stroke since the white gelly roll ink is thick and opaque. It takes some practice to learning how to hold the pen lightly for finer lines.
I use the White Gelly Roll Pen by Sakura because it flows smoothly and has a great price point. I also use White Glaze Pen and add sparkly accents with the Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen. (Available on my SoftExpressions.com webiste)
Glaze Sakura Pens creates a raised embossed effect and a very solid line.
It comes in many color choices.
Sakura also makes matte embossing pens called Souffle
Both are available at Sharla’s Store SoftExpressions.com
Time and practice are your friends when it comes to learning how the white pen lays down on the paper. This examples done in 2013 shows growth in control of the pen strokes. Also note, that shading is not always required as fine lines can be enough.
